Location: Moscow Middle School Multi-Purpose Room, 1410 East D St.
Cost: $ 8.00 general admission $ 4.00 students/children (see form below for submission by mail). Tickets also available at Paradise Ridge CD’s 117 East Third Street in Moscow (Starting January 5th).

Featured Speaker: NIKKITA OLIVER “Together We Rise!”
Nikkita Oliver, of Seattle is an attorney, teacher, and spoken-word artist who devotes her efforts to community organizing and being a spokesman for change for vulnerable people requiring access and equity. Her ideals prompted her to run for Seattle mayor in 2017 under the banner of the Peoples Party of Seattle. Though unsuccessful she continues her work for affordable housing, better education and giving people a voice in the process.
Oliver works as a teaching artist and mentor in Seattle Public Schools and through Creative Justice, a nonprofit that uses art to work with youth involved with the court system. She holds law and education degrees from the University of Washington, was the 2015 grand champion of the Seattle Poetry Slam, and received the 2015 artist human-rights leader award from the Seattle Office for Civil Rights.
In addition to Trahant’s address the January 20th Breakfast will include presentation of the Rosa Parks Human Rights Achievement Awards and presentation of winners of the Martin Luther King Jr. Art and Essay Contest.
FOOD DRIVE COLLECTION:
The Latah County Human Rights Task Force is requesting that attendees at the Breakfast bring cans or boxes of non-perishable items for distribution to local food banks.

The Latah County Human Rights Task Force invites you to a Community Breakfast to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr./Human Rights Day and to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the cause of human rights in our area.
The ticket fee will cover the costs of the breakfast. We encourage you to make an additional contribution of $ 15.00 or more to become a Friend of Human Rights and to assist the Task Force’s community activities.
SEATING IS LIMITED AND THE BREAKFAST SELLS OUT EACH YEAR ENSURE YOUR PLACE BY SENDING IN THIS FORM BY JAN. 16TH.
YOU WILL THEN BE SENT A TICKET TO ATTEND.
The Latah County Task Force Inc. would also welcome your payment to become a Friend of Human Rights.
